Reburb’d

My first laptop was a Dell Precision M50. I bought it as a refurbished off-lease model from the Dell Financial Services (DFS) website. It served me as I completed my Associates Degree is Computer Information Systems. It’s too bulky and too damn heavy, but it did the job and at the time it was fairly fast for a laptop. It doesn’t see much use these days, but it still works so I keep it around.
This is the sticker that lets the world know I’m too cheap to buy a new computer!

Field Stripping the Laptop, again

This is the fourth fan I’ve put in. I paid double the going rate for a new fan (the standard rate is for a refurbished). So far, it’s quieter. And it seems to be a bit cooler.
